NUC ACCREDITATION TEAMS COMMEND EKSU

Two NUC Accreditation teams that visited Ekiti State University departments of Microbiology and History have jointly lauded the organizational discipline in the institution.

They described the non-interference by the University during their visit as unparalleled.

The two accreditation team gave the verdict during a visit to the Vice-Chancellor after the completion of the accreditation exercise for the two departments.

The leader of the Microbiology team, Professor Sani Abiodun, in his remarks said: “I saw organizational discipline in this university as there was no interference of any sort in the course of our duty”.

According to Professor Abiodun, this shows that the present Administration in the University is visionary and wants things to work out well. The leader of the Accreditation team to the department of History, Professor Z. O. Apata noted that the university under the leadership of Professor Patrick Oladipo Aina has been able to move the university towards becoming an enviable institution.

Responding, the Vice- Chancellor, Professor Patrick Oladipo Aina noted that accreditation exercise was relevant to the goals of the management in realizing the vision of the institution to become a world-class university.

The Vice-Chancellor noted that EKSU has always been ready for accreditation exercise having known that it was meant to correct mistakes but not inquisitional. He also commended the National Universities Commission for the steps taken to sanitize University Programmes in Nigeria.

Members of the NUC Accreditation team that visited Microbiology Department were Professor Sanni Abiodun, Professor Fred Ezumeh, Mrs C. O. Tukura, while the members of the team that visited History Department were Prof. Apata Z. O., Prof. Ahmed Adam and Barrister (Mrs) Ebigbo Chibuzor.
