COURT OF GOVERNOR’S FOR COLLEGE OF MEDICINE
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Patrick Oladipo Aina has inaugurated the Court of Governors of College of Medicine of Ekiti State Universities to run the affairs of the College under the direction of the Governing Council of the University with a mandate to make the college one of the best in the Nation.
Inaugurating the body at the Council Chamber of the University, the Vice-Chancellor represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Olugbenga Aribisala further advised members of the Court of Governors to put in their best in their assignments.
In his address, the Provost, College of Medicine who is also the Chairman of the Court of Governors, Prof. G.J.F Esan implored some members of the University community who might not be familiar with the collegiate system not to have misgivings about the need for the inauguration of the Court of Governors. He expressed the hope that members of the Court of Governors would perform creditably.
The Court of Governors which has four-year tenure shall control the property and expenditure of the College, responsible for the submission of financial proposals relating to the College to the university, employ such non-academic staff within the framework of the conditions of service governing the appointment of such staff in the University, and perform such or any other functions as the Council may, from time to time, delegate to it.
The members of the Court of Governors include: Prof. G.J.F. Esan, Prof. Adeyinka Afolayan, Prof. M.A. Araoye, Mrs. K.O.O. Aderiye, Dr. Dare Ojo, Mr. kehinde Ojo, Barrister Wole Adebola, Prof. (Mrs.) T.O. Owuamanam, Mr. Olawale Jegede and Mrs. Olayinka-Ajayi, who serves as Secretary .
