EKSU TO CATER FOR THE FAMILY LATE SANI
Ekiti State University has promised to cater for the family of late Barrister Abubakar Sani, a lecturer in the Faculty of Law of the University who was killed by suspected terrorists on Monday, 3rd September, 2012 while on a trip to Bornu State.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Patrick Oladipo Aina made the disclosure while addressing Law students who were mourning the Late Sani.
Prof. Aina said that the entire University lost a brilliant, promising and dedicated staff in person of Barrister Sani noting that the influence of the departed lecturer was not limited to the University Community while alive as he was known to have intervened when there was a misunderstanding between the Hausa Community and.some people in Ado – Ekiti recently.
The Vice-Chancellor who said the University has lost a gem commended the students for the peaceful candle procession and urged all and sundry to pray for the repose of the soul of the departed.
The students’ leader, Mr Adeoye Aribasoye who was one of those who spoke at the occasion urged the Federal Government to find urgent solution to the issue of terrorism in the country and rise to the challenge of insecurity in the nation.
