The Vice Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Ado – Ekiti, Prof. Edward Olanipekun  has vowed  to uphold the standard requirements of the National  Universities Commission (NUC) in all the academic programmes of the university.

Prof. Olanipekun gave the pledge  while receiving the National Universities Commission   Re-accreditation team for the university’s MBBS programme.

Professor Olanipekun also reassured the team of the institution’s maximum cooperation to ensure a smooth exercise during its stay in the university.

The Vice Chancellor used the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Visitor to the university and Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi for the resuscitation of the EKSU College of Medicine, which was abandoned by his predecessor in office, through adequate funding and staffing.

While briefing the university Management on the modality for the re-accreditation exercise, the team leader, Prof. Samuel Abayomi Asala explained that the exercise was not to witch-hunt, but, a yardstick to measure improvement for quality assurance.
