UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN CONGRATULATES MR. OLAYINKA FOLORUNSO ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS POLYTECHNIC LIBRARIAN, EKITI STATE POLYTECHNIC, ISAN-EKITI
On behalf of the management and staff of the Ifedayo Oladapo Library, the University Librarian, Dr Modupe Aboyade, extends her warmest congratulations to an exceptional leader, mentor, and scholar, Mr Olayinka Folorunso, on his prestigious executive appointment as the substantive Polytechnic Librarian of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti (EKSPOLY).
Prior to reaching this significant career milestone, Mr Folorunso served with distinct excellence as a Principal Librarian at the Ifedayo Oladapo Library, Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti. His rich administrative track record also includes his impactful tenure as the Librarian of the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti, as well as serving as Vice-Dean of Student Affairs and Secretary of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). An alumnus of both Obafemi Awolowo University and the University of Ibadan, he is currently rounding off his ongoing doctoral studies at Babcock University.
Mr Folorunso is a highly respected professional whose scholarly research, featured on Google Scholar, focuses on community health information services, e-library development, digital transformation, and youth reading culture. In recognition of his outstanding administrative competence, the Governing Council of EKSPOLY approved his appointment following a rigorous selection process where he emerged as the leading candidate during competitive interviews conducted between May 12 and May 13, 2026. Following ratification at a Special Governing Council Meeting on Thursday, May 14, 2026, he will serve a single five-year tenure officially commencing on Monday, June 1, 2026.
Dr Modupe Aboyade noted that this landmark achievement is a testament to Mr Folorunso’s unwavering dedication, professionalism, and unblemished record of service within the academic community.
