The Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Professor Babatola Ayodele has extended heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for his unwavering commitment and continuous support towards the growth and development of the institution.

While highlighting his achievements since he assumed duty as the 9th substantive Vice Chancellor during the University’s Congregation meeting held at the University’s Main Auditorium, Professor Ayodele praised the Governor and Visitor to the University for his far-reaching interventions that have significantly enhanced the institution’s operations and infrastructure in recent time.

The Vice Chancellor stated that the approval of increase in the university’s monthly subvention, twice within a short period of time to the University coupled with the Governor’s steadfast commitment to its timely release, has brought a new era of financial stability to the University, making it possible for the Management, under his leadership to defray all backlog of outstanding salaries and allowances within one year.

Professor Ayodele further expressed deep gratitude for the Governor’s recent promise by his Administration to construct a state-of-the-art Faculty of Pharmacy complex in the University. According to the Vice Chancellor, the contractors have moved to site for the commencement of the construction work.

The Congregation meeting was attended by Principal Officers, qualified members of academic and non-teaching staff, who all applauded the Vice Chancellor’s commendation of the Governor’s transformative contributions to the citadel of learning.
